The family tavern SALAVANTES of Stratos and George Salavantakis is located in the beautiful village of Kalamaki in New Kydonia, Chania.
It operates since 1950 offering unique tasting experiences with the sea right in front of it and the sand lying in front of your feet.
Open from 10 p.m., you can enjoy your coffee accompanied with a rich breakfast, delicious fruit salads, sweets, galaktoboureko, baklavas, kantaifi with ice cream, as and all sort of ice creams, cocktails, refreshments, beers, etc. All that while you are having a swim.
Later at noon, start your lunch with delicious appetizers, salads and seafood. Continue with homemade dishes from the traditional Cretan cuisine of SALAVANTES. Cooked dishes, meat on the grill and fresh fish.
All recipes are made with local products, cooked with pure, Cretan olive oil.
Our specialties, Mouzaka, Tsigariasto, etc, will leave you with a fine taste.
