My first impressions of Sougia was of complete serenity, a peaceful and relaxing chill out destination. Not for people who want noise and excitement. The local people are so friendly and you really feel like you have dropped out. This year will be the fifth visit and I hope for many more!!!

I come from the beautiful island of Crete. Last summer I went to Sougia for the first time and I was totally in love with the place! I will go again this summer. Sougia is a Paradise on Earth!

I walked from Paleochora to Loutro at the beginning of August. From Sougia I walked up to Omalos and then, down to Samaria... and Aghia Roumeli ! But I really wanted to come back to Sougia, which is the most pleasant village I've seen during my staying in Crete. Will never forget Sougia and his smiling inhabitants. See You.
